2016 must have been either a horrible or great year for new Smartphone users, depending on their favorite manufacturer.
Who can forget the disastrous debut of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7? The seamless release of the new Apple iPhone 7 also seems to be in everyone’s mind, judging by the record shattering sale of the new model days after its release.
In comparison, what does 2017 have in store with regards to Smartphone releases? Look out for the following new phone debuts, Smartphone lovers of the world!
Apple iPhone 8
Think Apple cannot go any further than the iPhone 7 models? Soon after their newest model’s release, Apple announced the release of a newer (and better, of course) version of the iPhone. The Apple iPhone is expected in late 2017 so there are still some months left until that big day.
People predict this new device will have everything the newest model doesn’t like a large edge-to-edge screen. This device will also let go of the home button, which was initially predicted for the iPhone 7. Other included features in the model will be wireless charging (at a great distance), retinal scanner, smarter facial recognition system or another anti-theft technology.
BlackBerry DTEK50 (Mercury)
Note: Unveiled at the CES 2017 In January.
Unlike what people thought would happen, BlackBerry isn’t dying a slow death. Many people are still addicted to their Berry’s, more due to nostalgia’s sake than anything else. In 2016, the company released two new Smartphones, and has one planned for 2017. It seems only Blackberry lovers will like the newest addition to their family.
Design specifications for BlackBerry DTEK50 (later KeyOne) are; a QWERTY tactile keyboard that feels good, Android 7.0 Nougat, and a strong enterprise software makes this model a little different yet the same.
Samsung Galaxy S8
Note: This phone was expected to hit store shelves as early as February 2017 and has launched in the market.
Biometric issues aside, the Galaxy S8 is a brilliant phone. It was predicted that this model will feature some pretty amazing and futuristic features such as a fingerprint scanner on the back, a bezel-less design and a much thinner profile. It also stands to reason that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a faster processer, a better camera and improved screen resolution. What is the real picture?
The Smartphone has an amazing and beautiful large display, huge battery life, and a great camera. Nothing more and nothing less.
Judging from the above, it seems Apple is still winning the race for best Smartphone! But it’s a neck-and-neck race. Protect your iPhone 6S with a smart phone case from Shamo’s Cases. You won’t regret it!
